Markle Steals Top Spot From Rogan On Spotify Podcast Chart
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has taken the number one spot from Joe Rogan’s The Joe Rogan Experience on Spotify's podcast chart. Markle’s podcast Archetypes is currently the most popular podcast in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. This will come as a surprise to some as Rogan’s podcast is consistently the most popular in the US on Spotify. In the first episode of Archetypes Markle spoke with Serena Williams about the double standard women face when they’re called ambitious. The podcast is produced by Markle and Prince Harry’s Archewell Audio as well as Spotify’s Gimlet Media. They signed their exclusive Spotify deal in 2020, their mission is to produce content that “uplifts and entertains audiences around the world”.
