World Jiu-Jitsu Champion Leandro Lo Killed In Brazil

Jiu-Jitsu world champion Leandro Lo has died after being shot and killed in a nightclub in Brazil, according to g1. The 33-year-old was reportedly shot at a party inside Clube Sírio in the South Zone of São Paulo. Lo was shot in the head following an argument inside the club. The suspect in the shooting is military police officer Henrique Otávio Oliveira Velozo, who has been arrested. Velozo was arrested after he surrendered to Internal Affairs and will be sent to Romão Gomes Prison. Lo had dominated Jiu-Jitsu since 2011 and most recently won the 2022 World Championship in California. He also won eight World Championships, eight Pan American Championships, and five World Cup gold medals.
