'Batgirl' Star Leslie Grace Thanks Fans After Movie Is Shelved
Batgirl star Leslie Grace has thanked fans for their support after Warner Bros. Discovery announced it will no longer be releasing the HBO Max movie. In an Instagram post with behind-the-scenes photos from shooting the movie, Grace praised the work of the movie’s cast and crew. She is “proud of the love, hard work and intention all of our incredible cast and tireless crew put into this film over 7 months in Scotland”. Grace said she feels “blessed to have worked among absolute greats and forged relationships for a lifetime”. She thanked Batgirl fans for their “love and belief” and for allowing her to “take on the cape and become, as Babs said best, ‘my own damn hero!’”. In a joint statement, directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah said they were “saddened and shocked” to hear that audiences won’t get to see the movie.
