54% Of People Think Gaming Should Be Taught In Schools

54% of people think that gaming should be taught in schools, this is according to a recent OnePoll survey of 2,000 adults. 41% say it should be taught in elementary school and 42% in middle school. 88% of college students said they would major in gaming if they could. If students could study gaming they would like to focus on gaming proficiency, streaming and graphic and technical arts. Four in five respondents revealed that they play video games at least a few times a month and 42% play video games every day. 64% of gamers have learned essential skills from gaming like critical thinking, creativity, hand-eye coordination and communication. Over half of respondents believe that gaming has made them better at their job. The main genres credited to this include strategy games, first-person shooters and sandbox games.
