Zendaya Breaks Another Emmys Record With 'Euphoria' Nominations
Zendaya has broken another Emmys record by becoming the youngest ever two-time lead acting nominee. The actress has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards. In 2020 she became the youngest actress to win this award for her role as Rue in the HBO series Euphoria. Zendaya was also only the second Black woman to win the award, having previously been won by Viola Davis for How to Get Away With Murder. The former Disney star also received two nominations in the original music and lyrics category. This makes her the first Black woman ever to be nominated for acting and songwriting in the same year at the Emmys. The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards is set to take place on Sept. 12.
